VP – Parent Education

Overview of role

The VP-Parent Education has task of assisting in educating the student/parent community on issues with regards to our school events, SI information, and education in general. 

 

Responsibilities/Tasks

  1. Attend SIPAT Board meetings
  2. Kindergarten Playgroup planning & implementing
  3. Plan & implement events (i.e. speakers, “math night”, science night [Explorit])
  4. Internal communication

       a.  different groups

            i.      migrant/ESL

            ii.     working parents

    1. newsletter content & distribution
    2. Website
    3. Listserv
    4. Principal to school community liaison
  1. Member of PERA Committee
