President

Overview of role

The president serves as the lead for the entire SIPAT board & CCE community at large, as representative of parents on our campus & of our school at the district level.

 

Responsibilities/Tasks

  1. Attend SIPAT Board meetings (monthly)
  2. Schedule meetings/notify members (Board & school) of meeting
  3. Write agenda/submit for publication in newsletter one week in advance of meeting (1/2 with VP)
  4. Conduct monthly Board meeting (1/2 with VP)
  5. Attend some of the teacher/staff meetings (by direction of Principal)
  6. Assist the Principal in managing parent/teacher relations
  7. Assist Nominating Committee in recruitment for Board positions
  8. Assist recruiting volunteers for coordinator positions
  9. Verify with treasurer submission of payment for membership & insurance premium to State PTA (prior to 1/31/07 through channels)
  10. Serve as co-signatory for all outgoing funds with treasurer within budget
  11. Monitor other board & coordinator activities
